Allen & Betsy: Glad you both are back in good ol USA. What a great year you both had in Poland. Thnx for keeping us posted. Bandera has a sister city in Poland. They exchange delegations each summer. Strzelce Opolskie, it is not a large town, but Bandera isn’t either. The first 16 families in Bandera in 1854 were Polish, up from Panna Maria TX, the oldest Polish Catholic Church west of Mississippi. Bandera is, naturally, the second with St Stanislaus, a limestone Gothic dating back to 1870s. marshall

Hi Allen,
Just thought I’d look you up on a lazy Saturday morning. What a treat to find your blog. Glad you had a successful book release in Latvia; how exciting! Zoe has a good friend whose mother is from Latvia, if memory serves. I also enjoyed reading your post on the Amber Trail, about which I have had no knowledge. I look forward to reading more and also to the return of you, Betsy and Honey back to the States. Hope to see you at the beach in later this summer.
